Rodney Parade Newport

Rodney Parade Newport

Availability:Not available

Oil on canvas measuring 18" x 32"

"This painting shows the last match played here by Glamorgan (v Gloucestershire in 1989) before it was sold off and developed. Legend has it that there used to be a factory nearby that for years had a window with a big hole in it made by a cricket ball hit by Gloucestershire and England great Wally Hammond. The rugby ground in the background is the home on Newport Dragons". Jack Russell MBE
